Help when you need it
Find help with recognition, the Species Library, logging, maps, Community, sync, accounts and privacy.
Common topics
- Getting startedCapture a new find, import geotagged photos you already have, or use Quick Log when you want to save a place with as little interruption as possible.
- Mushroom recognitionRecognition runs on device and returns possible species matches with confidence values. Treat every result as a suggestion, confirm it yourself, and never use recognition alone to decide whether a mushroom is edible or safe.
- Species LibraryThe library holds the species with scientific names, localized common names and edibility classifications. These labels describe the species as a reference, not the mushroom in your hand.
- My Species and CollectionsConfirmed species appear in your personal collection. Collections such as Baltic 100 and Boletes are derived from your own journal.
- Progress and insightsBadges, milestones and personal insights are built only from your own records. They describe your history — they are not forecasts or public maps.
- Importing old photosGeotagged photos can be turned into findings with their original date and location. Apple Photos originals are never uploaded or removed.
- Capture and Quick LogCapture saves a new finding with a photo. Quick Log saves the time and current location in one tap; you can add more detail later.
- Map and locationsYour map shows your own findings, spots and clusters. Your device controls location access; if you deny or limit it, some location-aware features may be unavailable.
- Community and profilesCommunity is optional. Profiles are private by default, and only content you deliberately share becomes visible. You control who can follow you and can block or report accounts.
- Shared locationWhen you share a finding, you choose how much location context is shown: none, a country, a region or an approximate area. Exact coordinates are never published.
- Sync, backup and exportWith an account, your structured history and optimized photo copies sync privately. The app keeps working offline after setup, and you can export your account data.
- Deleting your accountDeletion starts from account settings in the app, or you can request it from the account deletion page on this website. It removes the cloud account, backed-up media, synced history and your Community profile and posts. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription — cancel that in Apple settings.
