Delete your 4est account
You can request deletion of your account and its associated data without installing the app. This page explains how.
Send a deletion request by email
You can request deletion without signing in and without the app. Press the button and your email client opens a new message with the subject and a template already filled in. The button alone does not delete anything: a person reviews the request.
What happens next
- Write from your 4est email addressSend the request from the same email address you use with 4est, or tell us the address in the message. If you sign in with Apple using Hide My Email, tell us the relay address you see in the app.
- What to includeA short message is enough. Please include:
- the email address you use with 4est;
- whether you sign in with Apple or Google;
- your 4est display name or handle, if you set one;
- a clear request to delete your 4est account and associated data.
- How we verify the requestVerification is minimal. We may ask you to confirm the request from the account email address, or to confirm it while signed in. We will never ask for your password, an access token or a one-time verification code.
- What is deletedAccount deletion removes the cloud account, backed-up media and synced history associated with the user, including findings and related location data, as well as your Community profile, posts, comments, reactions, follow relationships, blocks, reports and notification registrations.
- Or delete it yourself in the appIf you still have the app, deleting the account yourself from account settings is the fastest route. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription — cancel that in your Apple ID settings.
Deletion is intended to complete without undue delay, but we do not promise a fixed completion date. Deletion is logical first, and physical media wiping may follow as a queued process; residual copies may remain in backup infrastructure until the normal backup rotation completes. We may retain information only where required by law, or retain genuinely anonymized data that can no longer be linked to you. If Sign in with Apple was used, the associated authorization is revoked during deletion.
