Instructions
Prepare the ingredients. Wash and peel the vegetables well. First, grate the carrot on a fine grater. Dice the onion. Stew the vegetables in the multicooker with sunflower oil for about 30 minutes using the "Stew" function. Adjust according to your multicooker.
Keep in mind that the cooking time and mode specified in this recipe are approximate. Note that even identical models from the same manufacturer can perform differently. For information on the features of multicookers, steamers, pressure cookers, which of these kitchen helpers is right for you, and all the nuances of cooking dishes in them, read this article.
Next, shred the cabbage. Add it to the carrot and onion after 30 minutes. Set the timer for another 30 minutes. When the multicooker switches off again, add salt and pepper to the solyanka, add the mushrooms (thaw them first and squeeze to remove excess moisture) and tomato paste. Also add allspice, bay leaf, and vinegar.
In recipes, unless the author specifies otherwise, vinegar is added by default at a concentration of 9%. If you have vinegar of a different concentration, you can recalculate its amount using the vinegar substitution calculator by clicking the "calculator" icon in the ingredient list.
The next cycle in the "Bake" mode again lasts 30 minutes. If this mode is not available, you can select "Multicook" or another mode according to your appliance's instructions. The cooking time may increase in that case. Once the dish is ready, place the mushroom solyanka into sterilized jars and seal them. Let cool at room temperature, then the solyanka can be stored.
